Giffords Surgery is proud to be an accredited training practice.

ST’s (Speciality trainees) are fully experienced in hospital medicine but require further general practice experience before entry into practice independently.

F2’s (Foundation year 2 doctors) are qualified doctors in their second year after qualifying as doctors. They rotate between hospital specialities every 4 months and may spend 4 months in general practice. They are supervised by their trainer and also supported by the other GP’s in the practice.

Occasionally video consultations are used for training purposes. Written consent will be requested prior to a video consultation. Confidentiality is paramount and videos are destroyed after the teaching is completed.

Any fellow health care professional may be invited to sit in with one of the practice doctors or nurses. If this applies to your consultation, you will be asked for your consent beforehand. If you object this will be respected.
